Sreepur Village Celebrates 35 Years of Empowering Single Mothers and Their Children in Bangladesh
Liverpool, UK- Sreepur Village, a charity dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty in Bangladesh, is pleased to announce a special celebration event to mark their 35th anniversary. This event, hosted at Millon Tandoori in Liverpool, will bring the vibrant culture and flavors of Bangladesh to the North of England.
After a successful event in London earlier this year, Sreepur Village is excited to share their mission with the Liverpool community on September 18th, 2024 from 16:00-19:00. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear inspirational stories from the Chair of Trustees, Janette Porter, about the profound impact that Sreepur Village has had on the lives of single mothers and their children in Bangladesh over the past 35 years.
The event will also feature fundraising activities to support Sreepur Village’s ongoing efforts to empower and uplift vulnerable families in Bangladesh. Guests can also purchase handmade products, including limited edition hand-woven jamdani scarves made by the mothers of Sreepur Village, showcasing the rich heritage of Bangladesh’s weaving tradition.
Sreepur Village is the only residential charity in Bangladesh dedicated to providing a path to a secure and sustainable future for displaced and distressed mother-led families. For 35 years, they have been a beacon of hope for those in need, providing a home and brighter future for thousands of people.
Millon Tandoori, a renowned Indian and Bengali restaurant in Liverpool, is proud to host this special event in support of Sreepur Village.
