Chilterns Neuro Centre Raises Almost £6,500 at Chiltern Forest Golf Day

On Friday 13th, Chilterns Neuro Centre held their annual Chiltern Forest Golf Day which saw great success, raising almost £6,500 for the charity. The event took place against the stunning backdrop of Chiltern Forest Golf Club, with clear blue skies, glorious sunshine, and incredible scenery providing the perfect setting for a day of golf and fundraising.

The charity, which provides life-changing support for people affected by MS, Parkinson’s and strokes, was thrilled to see such a strong turnout of golf enthusiasts coming together to support their cause. The day was filled with friendly competition and camaraderie, as teams and individuals competed on the course.

After an exhilarating day of golf, team ‘Quanta 2’ emerged as the winners of the team competition, while Merv Rawlings took home the top spot in the individual competition. The winners were celebrated at a special prize-giving ceremony, which also included a barbecue, raffle, and a silent auction to boost fundraising efforts.

Danielle Medd, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at the Centre, expressed her gratitude towards all those who participated and contributed to the success of the event. She stated, “Our Chiltern Forest Golf Day was an incredible success and we are deeply grateful to everyone who participated and contributed.” Medd also acknowledged the generosity of the sponsor, volunteers, and players, emphasizing that their support will make a meaningful impact on the communities served by the charity.

Jeanette Warner, Managing Director at Better Mobility, one of the event’s sponsors, also shared her thoughts on the event. “We were thrilled to sponsor the Chilterns Neuro Centre’s golf day, supporting such a worthy cause,” she said. “It’s an honour to be part of an event that brings the community together, all while making a meaningful difference.”

Overall, the Chiltern Forest Golf Day was a huge success, thanks to the support and generosity of all those involved. The charity looks forward to using the funds raised to continue providing vital support to those affected by MS, Parkinson’s and strokes.
