Foodstuffs have long been and remain among the most important and widely traded commodities in the world. From grains like wheat and corn to sugar, soybeans, fish, meat, and dairy, trade within these and other food items constantly shapes and reshapes global economies. That’s according to subject matter expert Fahreen Rajan.

International entrepreneur and business strategist Rajan is the founder and leader of the boutique consulting firm Dragonfly Executive Solutions. The United Arab Emirates-based firm empowers business owners and other entrepreneurs to prosper internationally using a carefully considered roster of transformative techniques and initiatives.

Dragonfly Executive Solutions’ founder designed these techniques and initiatives to drive growth and promote innovation with almost unparalleled precision and finesse. With growth and innovation at the heart of her work, the international entrepreneur increasingly focuses on global trade opportunities.

That includes growing new and existing relationships with suppliers worldwide while building an ever-growing international trade network. At the heart of this network right now is the global food trade.

Ingredient supply, food manufacturing, and the global trade in the resulting produce all have a massive impact on countries’ economies worldwide. International entrepreneur and business strategist Fahreen Rajan reports that food manufacturing has an almost unrivaled power to shape today’s world, economically and elsewhere.

That’s because this market influences economies and has wide-reaching environmental, social, and other implications. For example, the boutique consulting firm founder says that global food manufacturing and trade are fundamental in maintaining fragile social structures in communities of all shapes and sizes worldwide.

That’s as the market surrounding the initial manufacturing and subsequent sale and resale of the resulting goods directly dictates food availability and determines the livelihoods, or potential lack thereof, of millions of people in nearly every country. The same and broader related markets also each have significant and somewhat unavoidable environmental footprints.

However, subject matter expert Rajan believes that, with the correct management, food manufacturing and the global market surrounding it can become significantly more sustainable and, at the same time, more equitable for all involved.

Fahreen Rajan seeks to capitalize on what she calls the commodity connection by leveraging Dragonfly Executive Solutions’ finessed, precise, and growth-focused initiatives in the global food market. The international entrepreneur and business strategist is currently exploring trade across numerous categories on the sourcing side. These categories include dairy, fish, fruit, and meat.

Dragonfly Executive Solutions founder and leader Fahreen aims to capitalize on the so-called commodity connection underpinning her plans by specializing in fast-moving consumer goods. Fast-moving consumer goods include processed foods like cereals and pasta alongside prepared, ready-to-eat meals, bottled beverages, and more.

She’s also identified fresh foods, frozen foods, and dry goods, including fruits, vegetables, and nuts, as additional leading areas for her and Dragonfly Executive Solutions’ clients to place their respective focus.

Crucially, other widely traded, globally sourced commodities—namely rice, sugar, flour, sunflower oil, and palm oil—exist with exports from certain producers destined primarily for Africa and the Indian Ocean islands.

Business strategist and consulting firm founder Fahreen Rajan specializes in intra-Africa trade, including exports from Kenyan and other African manufacturers into new markets in Africa and beyond. Kenya is currently her primary focus market. Yet, Rajan and her firm are also responsible for their clients’ growth into and out of Burundi, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, and Sudan.

Now consecutively focused on intra-Africa and the global food trade, boutique consulting firm Dragonfly Executive Solutions, led by its esteemed founder, is the most closely engaged with a pioneering international trading company. It’s hoped that by focusing squarely on these two distinct areas, there’s scope for considerable growth by entering into one or more identified but as-yet-untapped areas showing significant potential.

According to Rajan, intra-Africa and global trade should be equally pivotal in exploring and developing ideas built around these new opportunities. That’s as she continues to capitalize on the still-burgeoning commodity connection’s role in shaping and potentially reshaping new and existing international economies heading into 2025 and beyond.
