Snap Collective, a renowned publishing company, has recently released a new hardcover book titled “BODIES ARMY, Art Collections 2024” by Vincenzo Cohen, an accomplished Italian multidisciplinary artist. This highly anticipated book, consisting of 128 color pages in high print quality, showcases the artist’s latest works focused on the human figure and its unconscious content.

Inspired by the art of life drawing and the sculpture of Greek-Roman ancestry, Cohen’s book delves into the concept of the body as an armor and protective shield. It is a culmination of the artist’s personal experiences and inner growth, with a particular emphasis on the themes of social resilience and combattiveness.

The first part of the book, titled “Armored corps”, features a collection of illustrations that aim to portray the concept of “introjection” and explore the depths of the human psyche. This section also includes a scientific contribution by Dr. S. Michelini, a renowned psychologist and clinical criminologist, who offers insights on the implications of trauma and the metaphor of the shield.

The second part of the book, titled “DOPPIO”, showcases a digital art collection where some of Cohen’s works from different pictorial collections are reinterpreted to represent the dichotomy between light and shadow in the human personality.

Through twisted and folded figures, the book tells a story of innate fears, defense mechanisms, and the body as a fortress and protection of the self. “BODIES ARMY, Art Collections 2024” is now available for purchase on the Snap Collective website.
