OMRON Healthcare Europe has confirmed the appointment of Karen Benegmos-Sanders as its new Managing Director, effective 1st December 2024. Karen will take over from David Menko, who has successfully guided the company since December 2021.
Under Menko’s tenure, OMRON Healthcare Europe has consistently surpassed financial targets, driven by his strategic leadership and the collective efforts of the leadership team. Karen Benegmos-Sanders, as Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations, has been a key contributor to these achievements, helping to position the company for continued growth and success across the EMEA region.
Personal circumstances made it impractical for Menko to transition into a planned international role for Fiscal Year 2025. As a result, and by mutual agreement, he will depart from the company to facilitate the leadership change.
Karen Benegmos-Sanders, who joined OMRON Healthcare Europe in February 2022, has played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s commercial operations. Her leadership has focused on customer engagement and operational excellence, which has driven a cultural shift towards high performance. André van Gils, Senior General Manager and Executive Officer at OMRON Healthcare Corporation, said: “We are excited to welcome Karen into her new role. Her deep understanding of the business and dedication to our mission will be critical as we aim for continued growth in the second half of our SF2030 strategy.”
Sharing her excitement, Karen Benegmos-Sanders said: “I am honoured and excited to lead OMRON Healthcare Europe and inspired by our mission to improve lives. I believe we are uniquely positioned to become a leader in Integrated Care by providing best in class device and service solutions that prevent chronic diseases and improve patient care. I look forward to working closely with our talented teams and partners to successfully advance OMRON’s growth vision and impact on people’s well-being.”
