Revolutionary RGBW lighting to debut during UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations
Enhances the iconic structure’s global appeal
Emaar Properties has completed a groundbreaking transformation of Burj Khalifa’s façade lighting. The innovative RGBW system integrates advanced technology with architectural elegance, promising a captivating display during the UAE’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations on 1 December 2024. This lighting enhancement also marks the build-up to the tower’s 15th anniversary on 4 January 2025.
The new system offers an expanded palette of brilliant colours and dynamic patterns, enhancing the building’s visual charm and cementing Dubai’s status as a leader in creative design and urban innovation.
The process involved extensive preparation, including six months of mock-up trials to ensure flawless integration. The RGBW system replaces the previous static lighting with adaptable, colour-changing fixtures, delivering intricate lighting displays for various occasions. These dynamic visuals, paired with Burj Khalifa’s media screen, offer versatile illuminations that preserve the building’s iconic aesthetic while adding vibrancy to celebratory events.
