Award-winning children’s author Chris Husband is set to release his latest work, “Life Gets in the Way”, on December 8th, 2024. Known for his previous successful books, “My Magical Bearded Friend” and “Fun Poems for Kids”, Husband’s new collection is aimed at adults and promises a diverse mix of poems and anecdotes.
With a range of topics covered, including loss, grief, joy, and silliness, “Life Gets in the Way” offers a candid and relatable perspective on the highs and lows of life. The book has already received praise from notable figures, with co-author of the Inspector Morose comedy books, Ian Sloan, calling it “inciteful, humorous, and nostalgic”. Marie McMullen, who had the privilege of reading the book in advance, also shared her thoughts, saying, “A candid regale of the highs and lows of life, sincere, relatable and entertaining. A privilege to read, my favourite poem has to be “5 minutes”. Chris is a (bearded) magician with his words.”
Containing over 90 poems and stories, “Life Gets in the Way” is a testament to Husband’s talent for crafting engaging and thought-provoking literature. The book will be available for purchase on Amazon from December 8th, 2024.
