Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Napenda Adventures, a leading safari operator in Tanzania, has announced the expansion of its carbon credits program. This initiative further solidifies the company’s commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship.

The expansion builds upon the success of Napenda Adventures’ existing carbon credit safaris, which have been effectively compensating for safari vehicle emissions. With the new approach, the company aims to encompass more aspects of a safari through Tanzania, accounting for the broader environmental impact and ensuring that every journey contributes positively to the preservation of the country’s natural landscapes.

According to Khuzeima Zavery, CEO at Napenda Adventures, “Sustainable tourism is not just a choice; it’s a responsibility we owe to the nature we cherish, use, and make a living from. By expanding our carbon credits initiative, we are taking an important step towards protecting the environment and supporting the communities that depend on it.”

In collaboration with Carbon Tanzania, a renowned organization specializing in forest conservation and carbon credit projects, Napenda Adventures will invest in high-quality, certified forest carbon credits. These credits are generated through projects that prevent deforestation and promote sustainable land use, directly benefiting local communities and biodiversity.

Jo Anderson, Co-Founder of Carbon Tanzania, stated, “Carbon credits are a powerful tool for channeling climate finance to Tanzanians who are dedicated to protecting their forests yet find themselves on the frontlines of ever-intensifying climate impacts. We are thrilled to be partnering with Napenda Safaris, who, through this carbon credit program, is demonstrating their commitment to supporting Tanzanians in safeguarding the country’s wildlife-rich landscapes.”

This initiative aligns with global efforts to combat climate change and supports Tanzania’s national conservation strategies. By choosing Napenda Adventures, travelers can enjoy an authentic safari experience while contributing to the preservation of the environment for future generations.
