Pure Land Foundation Reaches Milestone in Digital Transformation for Mental Wellness AdvocacyFriday 6 December, 2024

The Pure Land Foundation, a not-for-profit organization, has achieved a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey. The foundation has shifted its focus to content-led advocacy for the adoption of philosophies and practices that can support better mental wellness.

According to the World Health Organization, 970 million people around the world are currently experiencing poor mental health. In recognition of this global crisis, the United Nations included mental health in its goals for the first time in 2015. However, mental health challenges continue to plague societies worldwide.

As part of its digital-first approach, the Pure Land Foundation is producing and sharing original content, including insights, teachings, and practical tools for individuals. The foundation also emphasizes the importance of inner transformation as a pathway to wider societal change.

The Pure Land Foundation has relaunched its website, Instagram, and YouTube channels to better support its digital transformation. The foundation has also begun sharing content, including the publication of its inaugural bi-weekly animated series on life advice and lessons.

The goal of the digital animation series is to present Buddhist-inspired teachings that can support better mental wellbeing, without any religious lens. The series is designed to be accessible to anyone facing challenges in their life.

The first episode of the animated series, titled “What is Empathy Burnout and How To Manage It?” is now available on the Pure Land Foundation’s YouTube channel. The series is geared towards younger generations, particularly Gen Z and millennials, who are most affected by the growing global mental health crisis.

The debut episode features a calming animation style and soothing music to encourage self-reflection and inner peace. Each episode is narrated by Bruno Wang, a patron and philanthropist who is dedicated to supporting mental health and spiritual betterment.

In addition to the animated series, the Pure Land Foundation’s relaunched YouTube channel also features a six-part series titled “A Series On Love.” This series delves into the origins and importance of love in humanity, drawing from principles of cosmology, psychology, and neurobiology.

Another series, “Lessons For Life With Japan’s Zen Master,” is a special digital collaboration with Japanese Zen Master Monk, Osho Taigu. This series explores how Buddhist wisdom can be applied in everyday life to achieve inner peace, mindfulness, and better manage stress and the effects of loss and grief.

To stay updated on the Pure Land Foundation’s content and initiatives, you can follow them on YouTube, Instagram, and visit their website.
