The journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic when Dr Shahid, a Middleton-based GP, visited homes to deliver Christmas hampers to vulnerable individuals, the elderly, and those who had lost loved ones. Motivated by the impact of his efforts, Dr Shahid founded Healing Humanity International, a charity that supports the elderly, lonely, and isolated, as well as low-income families. The charity also works closely with food banks to aid the homeless and address the growing issue of poverty.
