As the airline currently running two of the longest commercial flights in the world, Singapore Airlines has long been associated with the luxury of its fare classes on ultra-long-haul routes.

This week, the airline has unveiled the biggest overhaul of the four classes it sells passengers since it launched its First Class Suites product in 2007. As part of a $2 billion investment, Singapore Airlines is retrofitting 41 Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-9 planes to feature newer seats, an updated color scheme, and various amenities others that the carrier hopes will further elevate its reputation for offering a luxury experience.

The ultimate luxury product, Singapore Airlines First Class, will be available on four seats on the Boeing 777-9 and four seats on the A350-900ULR aircraft. With each space separated by a curved sliding door, the seats measure 30 inches in width and extend to an 80-inch lie-flat bed.

The key perk is that the central two seats in the one-two-one format can either be separated through a privacy slider or booked together as a daytime sofa and combined into a double bed for cozying up during sleeping hours. The combined 60-inch width makes Singapore’s new product the largest double bed on any commercial airline.

The 60-inch double bed on the new Singapore Airlines first class seats is the largest of any commercial airline.

For those taking the same seat back or on another airline, the preferred seat position can be saved through the airline’s myKrisWorld member account in order to not have to set it up again for future travel.

The new business class will be available for 54 seats on the Boeing 777-900, 42 seats on the A350-900LR and 70 seats on the A350-900ULR planes. The color scheme is slate with yellow accents.

The full-flat beds measure 79 inches in length and 24 inches in width while the new 22-inch bifold table is now stored at an angle to create a footwell for stretching out on those long-haul journeys.

One’s preferred level of privacy can also be selected through a door and adjustable dividers while the preferred seat adjustments can also be saved through myKrisWorld.

The business class beds extend to 72 inches in length.

Set up in a two-four-two layout, the 40-inch seat pitch creates a larger space for those looking for more comfort without the price commitment of business. Leather upholstery and cushioning in a slate-and-orange color scheme with embroidered cushions give the seats a glossy feel while those extra comfort features include a four-way adjustable headrest and additional foot and leg rests as well as an adjustable reading light and cocktail tray for space to store one’s drink without pulling out the full table.

The new economy class, meanwhile, will be available on 204 seats on Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 777-900 planes in a three-four-three layout and be upholstered in wool blend in slate and teal colors.

The new economy seats feature upgraded tech and more adjustable reclining mechanisms.

Along with better reclining mechanisms, new additions include tech upgrades like USB-C and USB-A charging ports as well as 4K high-resolutions touchscreens with Bluetooth pairing and a second display for viewing the trajectory of the flight.

“While each cabin has been designed individually, they are unified by the same ambition to make the experience more comfortable, flexible, and rewarding for our customers,” Singapore Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Lee Hik Hsin said of the new seats.

As of the current timeline set by Singapore Airlines, the new seats are expected to enter service in the second half of 2027.
