Ebico Living and Rebel Energy have recently announced a strategic partnership that aims to make sustainable home warmth more affordable for all. This partnership brings together Ebico Living, the UK’s first not-for-profit energy company, and Rebel Energy, a rapidly growing energy supplier.

As part of this partnership, Ebico will retail its energy plans through its domestic energy brand Ebico Living, while Rebel Energy will supply energy to Ebico Living’s customers. One of the main goals of this partnership is to address the issue of standing charges, which can weigh heavily on household budgets. With some customers on Price Capped Standard Variable tariffs paying up to £375 per year in standing charges, the launch of this partnership offers a solution that can significantly reduce this cost.

Ebico’s new Signature energy plan, available for both smart and conventional meters, offers an average standing charge of only £147 for a dual fuel customer. This represents a significant saving of £228 and is the lowest standing charge available for fixed rate home energy. Combined with competitive unit rates for electricity and gas, the Ebico Signature energy plan offers a breakthrough deal for home energy customers throughout Britain.

Phil Levermore, CEO of Ebico, expressed his excitement for this partnership, stating, “We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce this partnership with Rebel Energy. Together, we are embarking on a journey with joint objectives, combining our strengths to offer our customers great energy deals that also support the wider affordability of sustainable living.”

Dan Bates, CEO of Rebel Energy, also commented on the partnership, saying, “At Rebel Energy, we are excited to partner with Ebico Living to bring about a significant change in the home energy market. This collaboration aligns with our mission to end fuel poverty in the UK. By offering the lowest fixed rate standing charges available, we are helping to ease the financial burden on households and promoting a fairer energy market.”

For those interested in becoming an Ebico Living customer, more information can be found on their website. Ebico was founded in 1998 as a not-for-profit social enterprise with a mission to make low carbon warmth affordable for low-income households. Through their commercial trading arm, Ebico Living, they promote energy plans and related services that support customers in cutting their carbon emissions and saving money. They also donate their surpluses to their charitable trust, The Ebico Trust, which makes grants to organizations supporting innovation in affordable low carbon home warmth.

Rebel Energy, on the other hand, is a leading energy supplier that aims to end fuel poverty in the UK. They have successfully navigated the recent energy crisis and stand out from other suppliers for their commitment to renewable energy, their mission to end poverty, their use of advanced automation, and their “people first” philosophy.
