Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Matthew PJ Clark Photography, based in Portsmouth and led by Creative Director Matthew Clark, is reflecting on a decade of achievements and growth.
From covering prestigious events like the British Banking Awards to photographing the Royal Navy’s RNRMC charity gala aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth, the company has expanded its operations to include over 50 events per month across the UK. Known for delivering next-day media with exceptional quality, Matthew and his team have established themselves as leaders in the industry.
This year, Matthew’s talent earned him a coveted spot on the shortlist for the 2024 British Photography Awards’ event category, chosen from over 20,000 entries. This recognition highlights his dedication to capturing exceptional moments that elevate his clients’ events.

The journey hasn’t always been smooth. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Matthew faced significant challenges, moving in with his grandfather to shield and pausing his career. However, he used the time to develop new skills, build his network, and prepare for the industry’s comeback.
When events resumed, his resilience and preparation paid off. Post-pandemic, his income tripled, and he secured contracts with prominent national clients, propelling the business to new heights.
