Delft, Netherlands – Food Logistics, the premier publication exclusively focused on the global cold food supply chain, and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the leading source for comprehensive coverage of the entire supply chain industry, have announced the winners of this year’s Top Software & Tech Awards. Among the recipients is Fizyr, a Netherlands-based company that specializes in providing advanced vision software for highly dynamic automation.
The Top Software & Tech Awards highlight new-to-market software and technology solutions designed to enhance the efficiency, automation, and visibility of the supply chain industry. Fizyr was recognized in the Small Business Robotics category for its certified Vision Packs, a key part of the company’s unique go-to-market strategy that utilizes cutting-edge computer vision technology. These Vision Packs reduce the expertise, time, and cost required for integrators to implement automated warehouse robotics solutions, making them an ideal choice for many recent installations across Europe and North America.
Fizyr CEO Ken Fleming expressed his excitement and gratitude for the award, stating, “Lackluster performance, prohibitive costs, and lack of expertise have held back automation of the most complex tasks in warehouses, fulfillment centers, and elsewhere for far too long. Fizyr’s certified Vision Packs enable integrators to hit the ground running, requiring less vision expertise to implement, significantly reducing the total cost of ownership and delivering unparalleled performance.”
Fizyr’s certified Vision Packs are currently capable of handling six of the industry’s most challenging and widespread automation challenges across a variety of industries, organizations, and environments. These include Pick & Place, Singulation, Palletization/Depal, Detection, Trailer/Container Unloading, and Laundry tasks. The packs incorporate components from top manufacturers such as FANUC, YASKAWA, KUKA, Cognibotics, ZIVID, IDS, Photoneo, Nexera, and many others.
Of the submissions received for the awards, 43% focused on supply chain visibility solutions, followed by WMS/TMS software (23%), warehouse automation (18%), procurement/ERP software (12%), and robotics (4%). The majority of entries were enhancements to existing solutions (55%), with the remaining 45% being new-to-market technologies. Additionally, 58% of submissions came from small businesses (under $50 million) and 42% from larger enterprises (over $50 million).
Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive, praised this year’s winners, saying, “Automation, sustainability, smart technology, supply chain optimization, and risk management were the major themes of this year’s new software and technology solutions. These new products and enhancements are upping the ante in modernizing how product moves through the chain, and I appreciate everything this year’s winners do to ensure the safety, security and sustainability of our supply chains.”
